The speakers ask that no pictures or recordings of the presentation be made without prior permission. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

baby_feetSpeakers: Kathleen Sullivan and her adult daughter, Elizabeth Sullivan, both long-term recovering survivors of human trafficking. Kathleen is a social worker and a counselor; Elizabeth is studying psychology at UTC and creates lifelike reborn dolls to honor the original innocence and preciousness of all babies.

Kathleen was abducted from her birth mother at the age of 3 and was raised by a US-based trafficker who sold her on a time-share basis in her late teens to several wealthy slave-owners. Kathleen had four children with one of Kathleen’s slave-owners, a businessman. In 1985 Kathleen received aid from a group of U.S. government officials who investigated Kathleen’s original owner and the businessman. After both men died, she was free to start a new life.

Kathleen helped start the North American Freedom Foundation (NAFF) in 1996. In June 2010, Kathleen helped form another organization, the U.S. Truth and Reconciliation Coalition (USTRC). Shortly after starting the group, Kathleen unexpectedly reunited with her daughter, Elizabeth, also an advocate for trafficking victims. The USTRC has since become North American Truth and Reconciliation Coalition (NATRC).
